PL W nowym zbiorze intymnych rysunków zaprezentowanym w Mazi Projects, Čuška podejmuje powtarzające się w jego twórczości tematy tożsamości i upływ czasu. Prace przyjmują otwartą narrację, która pozostawia widzowi przestrzeń do swobodnej interpretacji – nie faworyzuje żadnego punktu widzenia oraz nie przywołuje konkretnego przypadku. Pod wpływem śródziemnomorskiego światła Čuška tworzy w kolorowym, swobodnym stylu, nasycając swoich bohaterów emocjonalną dwuznacznością. Samotne postacie w zamyśle odwołują się do modernistycznego namysłu nad nowym językiem wizualnym oraz problemem wyjątkowości współczesnego doświadczania.

ENG In his new body of intimate drawings, presented at Mazi projects, Čuška addresses recurring themes like those of selfhood and the passing of time. The drawings adopt an ‘open narrative’ that allows room for the audience’s interpretation without favoring any particular viewpoint and welcoming accidents. Influenced by Mediterranean light, Čuška draws in a colorful, free, and fluid style, imbuing his male protagonists with emotional ambiguity. The portraits he chooses to paint are Čuška’s sensitive interpretation of his inner reality. His solitary figures reflect centuryold modernist questions while suggesting a new visual language suited for the uniqueness of the contemporary experience.
