Na pierwszym piętrze stare tapety odchodzące od ścian. Muzyka dudni w całym budynku. Drugie schody. Wyglądają bardziej jak drabina, ale nikt nie zastanawia się przed wejściem na dach. Nad stłoczonymi budynkami widnieje podświetlony Akropol. Półnadzy ludzie pokryci brokatem tańczą do pierwszych promieni słońca. Miliony mieszkańców stolicy wychodzących nocą. Żar opada, wszyscy lgną do barów i knajp. Rozmowy trwają godzinami. Wino leje się strumieniami wymiennie z orzeźwiającą mastihą. Łatwo nawiązać kontakt, słowo klei się do słowa. ENG We enter through an abandoned building. On the ground floor, a performance hall—maybe a theater? A cinema? A wooden stage, with stairs behind it. Everything painted black. Old wallpaper peels from the walls on the first floor. Music thunders through the entire building. Another staircase. It looks more like a ladder, but no one hesitates before climbing to the roof. Above the crowded buildings, the illuminated Acropolis is visible. Half-naked people, covered in glitter, dance until the first rays of the sun. Millions of the capital’s residents go out at night. The heat subsides, people flock to bars and taverns. Conversations last for hours, wine flows, alternated with refreshing mastiha. It’s easy to strike up a connection, word sticks to word.
